This has nothing to do with anything but I thought I would cut and paste these comments about the Berlin Bowl in Berlin, Connecticut.
It is Saturday after all; you have time to kill before going to the Elmdale House and these people are not holding back:

Think when you look up the word "Dump" in a dictionary, you see a picture of Berlin Bowl.

Some real good bowling centers in CT have closed in the past 5 years. Wish Hamden was still open and this dump closed. Hamden was so much nicer and had better lane conditions then this place. Plus, the management was much friendlier. I think the owners name is Jeff. What a jerk. he should not be alowed to talk to any of the customers. Not sure who runs the pro shop but the 2 guys that i talked to were complete idiots. I was looking for another place to bowl next year and it will not be Berlin.

The Berlin Bowl staff is always unfriendly, and never want to help, they are constantly in bad moods. The pro shop, the one hour a week that its open, is run by idiots who won't know how to do the job correctly. The food is completely overpriced and is not even satisfying at all to the pallet, the food honestly tastes terrible. As for the bowling balls, every single one is dented and scratched up so bad that it alters the playing experience. The lanes do not seem like they are kept well because a straight roll will drift left or right quite often. Overall, there are much better bowling alleys in Connecticut. This place gives a "dump"-like feel and I do not plan on returning.

this is the worst bowling alley in CT. The people there are clueless when it comes to bolwing equipment and i think the pro shop is awful. Wal mart has better bowling stuff than they do. Berlin Bowl is a dump. It is absolutley nasty. The place bowls like crap and is horribly maintained. Perhaps the worst part of the place is the service and employees. They are always in a bad mood, never want to help, and have no clue what they are doing. If you are a fan of fantastic though you may want to visit.....hell no. The food tasted like it just came out of a sewer-TERRIBLE. I will never go to this place again IT STINKS!!!!!!

wow. let me start off by saying this is the worst bowling experience ive ever had. The service s*cks, the food is horrendous, the pro shop is the worst ive seen- the crap they sell is wal mart quality and wont last a week. Not to mention the alley smells like crap and the music they play brings me back to the seventies and i feel like killing myself. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME IN THIS CRAPSHOOT, spend your money at a better place like BOWL A RAMA.

I think they are. Everyone I know who used to bowl there does not anymore. They all think, Jeff, the owner is a jerk and extremely unfriendly. Not to mention, that the Pro Shop is run by the three stooges, meaning they do not have a clue how to drill and layout equipment. Bottom line, they may as well be closed.

Berlin Bowl is open, what planet are you on?
Comment Date: 11/7/2007 Name: Anonymous
I can see why. The owner, Jeff is the most unfriendly person around. He always walks around with an attitude. Plus every week, you have a MYSTERY shot to bowl on. Glad I went somewhere else. Feel bad because I bowled there for over 15 years.

Comment Date: 6/25/2007 Name: Bowler
I have seen better dumps
Comment Date: 6/21/2007 Name: Anonymous
Yea, I agree, it is a dump
Comment Date: 5/18/2007 Name: Never Again
Bowled there last winter and will never walk in there again. The Manage/owner is a *ss and the pro shop people are all idiots. Basically, it is a dump that should be torn down !!
But what do you really mean?
