1096...So Where We Going To Store Them All?

Them being all the new prisoners we are going to have in Can-a-duh after bill C-15, the Conservative-NDP anticrime bill gets pushed through giving us US style justice and unsafer streets.

Think about it.

Taking discretion and power out of the hands of judges, Canadian Press has announced that the Senate has passed legislation announced by the federal government earlier this year. What this new bill, that Conservative MP James Moore, who also is the minister in charge of TV, announced in Van today, does is cancel a sentencing provision in which judges could give criminals two-for-one credit for each day they were in jail before trial.

Didn't work in the States; won't work here.

Brilliant.

  1. Only Liberals would see the two for one credit as a good thing, because it could or has been of benfit to them.

No wonder Gomery called the LPoC "criminally organized".

  2. Most of these justice bills would get reversed in one swoop once a government changes. Harper is as usual kissing his imaginary base's shiny a**.

  3. Punishment after the fact never works. Just ask the CON who slit his girlfriend's throat cause she refused to stay barefoot in the kitchen.
