1049...First It Was; Now It Is

What it is is billboards.

Your tax dollars in action.

The Toronto Star triumvirate of Les Whittington and Bruce Campion-Smith and Robert Benzie write in this morning's bird cage liner that "Thousands of billboards touting federal spending on urban renewal projects will be sprouting across the country in the weeks ahead as the Harper government continues a wholesale publicity blitz of efforts to counter the economic bust."

David McGuinty, Ottawa South MP and Liberal front bencher accurately says that "This is the most comprehensive, deliberate propaganda campaign at the federal level in Canadian history..." Soon to be former Outremont MP Thomas Mulcair of the NDP calls it a "...boondoggle..."

You knew the Liberals and the NDP will bi#ch about this; c'mon, give the Tories a break, they are creating jobs.

In the billboard industry.

Baby steps folks, baby steps.
