1045...Ah, C'mon, Enough Already

This is some serious bullshit from Team Blue.

Late breaking news from the Canadian Press reports that Liberal MP David McGuinty and others on the correct side of the ball are crying foul over a federal government website that includes a link to video of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's recent piano playing debut.

Point being that it is further evidence of an inappropriate propaganda campaign by the Tories to use taxpayer-funded stimulus programs to partisan advantage. The piano playing of the PM was designed to soften the chilly image Stephen Harper radiates.

The link comes amid controversy over revelations that dozens of Tory MPs and cabinet ministers have presented constituents with mock cheques for government funding, emblazoned with the Conservative party logo or the MPs' signatures. Prime Minister Harper has said cheques with the party logo were a mistake but he defends the right of MPs to promote their role in securing funding for their ridings.

Hey, Mr. McGuinty, you ain't seen nothin' yet, wait til the O-f'ing-lympics. The Tories have already labeled the Canadian Olympic team with their logo, wait til the games start. OMFG.

  1. I just teased one of my Conservative buddies about this, and he justified it by saying - and I quote - "Well he is the leader of the government. It makes sense to have him there because it lifts peoples spirits in a time of hardship."

I think tories are starting to get dangerously full of their own bullshit.

  2. wellll, on the 'plus' side, perhaps PM Harper's piano playing debut will make him think twice about cutting funding to the arts... hmmm, here's hoping for that 'silver lining', eh?! Would seem a little hypocritical after all, but wouldn't be the first time for political(read: Conservative) hypocrisy!
