5978...Only In Montreal

Where the unthinkable is a regular thing.

MONTREAL - Police are looking for a man suspected of posing as a Montreal city worker to gain access to women’s homes in order to molest them.
The suspect is a Latin-American man aged somewhere between 30 and 45 according to a release by the Montreal police. Detectives say he calls his victims ahead of time and either tells them he’s a repairman with the city, a Hydro-Quebec worker or an inspector with the public housing bureau. Once inside, he convinces women to take a shower so they can test their water -- at which point he either watches them or gropes them.
He’s been using this method since about 2010 in Montreal and the South Shore suburb of Longueuil, according to investigators with the sexual assault task force. Montreal’s major crimes unit is also on the case.
Police are asking anyone who may have fallen prey to the suspect to call INFO-Crime at 514-393-1133.
