5985...Peter Worthington Passes

This is a man who made lemons out of lemonade.  When the broadsheet The Toronto Telegram bit the dust in 1970 Peter Worthington helped found The Toronto Sun which quickly became part of the fabric of the big smoke and spread to a number of other markets in Canada and on to the tube.

Peter Worthington, who died Sunday, was a longtime journalist who began his career with the Toronto Telegram, and was an eyewitness to the assassination of Lee Harvey Oswald.

As you know Mr. Worthington continued to write an op ed piece for the Sun papers to the end.

He will be missed.
