4526...Freedom From The NDP

Party discipline, too much of it, is the culprit that forced Thunder Bay MP Bruce Hyer to quit the New Democrats to sit as an independent.

It has been reported widely that Mr. Hyer, who has represented the port city since '08, took the opportunity to offer a criticism of  the "...mindless solidarity..." of Canada's political parties and urging leader Thomas Mulcair to be more accepting of dissent in the ranks.

I guess what Mr. Hyer wants is a parliament that is more sympatico to the other houses like the House of Representatives in the USA where representing the views of your constit is balanced with showing a united front by party.

Good luck with that.
