4558...Competition In Health Care Is Good

I know it will cause a lot of you to plotz but the fact is that if we in Ontario and Canada are going to fix health care and make it more accessible for the middle and under classes we have to have a, at a minimum, two tier health care system.

Fact is if we have such a thing then people with money will be able to pay for the services they need and leave more room at the clinics for poor and middle class people like me.

Competition is good.

  1. So you imagine that switching to a two-tier system will somehow magically create more doctors? That the hundreds of people who want to get into med-school now but can't get in because of lack of available spaces will suddenly find new training spaces opening up that the system being public didn't allow to exist?

Two-tier care does not create doctors. All it does is give the best doctors, who are the ones able to charge the most for their services, incentive to *not* work for the poor and middle class people like you.
