Jim Watson is his name and he has a great idea for the former U.S. Embassy that sits empty right across the street from the Parliament Buildings in your capital.
Kelly Roche of The Ottawa Sun reports that hizonner appeared in front of the standing committee on Canuckistanian heritage Tuesday and said that the former embassy should be turned into the Canadian version of D. C.'s Smithsonian Institute which is America's attic.
Mr. Watson wants the whole thing to be a public/private partnership.
The building, which has to be one of the choicest real estate locations on planet earth, has been empty for around a decade. Such a waste.
