So are all the other Senators and Members of Parliament. The same week that Barack Obama, the boss of America, announced that he is giving five per cent of his salary back to the treasury, The Ottawa Citizen reports that "...MPs quietly gave themselves a pay increase late last month..."
Nice little bump di bump too. "The base salary for senators went up to $135,200 from $132,300...April 1, the same day salary increases kicked in for MPs, whose base salary rose to $160,200 from just under $158,000..."
