The Ottawa Citizen reports that an Ontario study "...conducted by researchers at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, Public Health Ontario, the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute — found that 60 per cent of deaths in Ontario can be linked to smoking, alcohol, poor diet, lack of physical activity or stress."
That you for that stunning news. I would have liked to have been in the lab for the eureka moment.
Note to Premier Dalton McGuinty, Money Minister Dwight Duncan, my MPP and Prez of the Ont Libs Yasir Naqvi: this may be the way that you can dig us out of a hole. No need to spend tax dollars researching the obvious. We all know that smoking is bad for our healt, eating crap is bad for our health, no exercise is bad for our health etc.
Other research studies funded by your tax dollars are attempting to discover is the sky is still blue, water is still wet and if up is still 180 degrees from down.
