A United Airlines pilot, Erwin Vermont Washington, was charged with operating an aircraft while under the influence of alcohol after failing a breath test at London’s Heathrow airport Monday.
Bloomberg reporters Mary Jane Credeur and Mary Schlangenstein quote Captain Obvious, Louis Smith, a retired Northwest Airlines captain who is president of FltOps.com, a career-advisory company for pilots who says that “There are no legitimate reasons for airline pilots to show up with alcohol in their systems.”
Or illegit in my opinion.
