The Conservative Party of Canada, partly out of generosity and partly because they want to extend their brand, offered logoed green [Elizabeth May, Stephane Dion Green] water bottles to the Louis Riel School division [we hang him and then name stuff after him; that kills me] and the sanctimonious school division turned 'em down.
The story by Nick Martin in today's Winnipeg Free Press reports that St. Boniface Tory Member of Parliament Shelley Glover generously offered Louis Riel students free water bottles, but trustees turned the Tory down when they learned that the bottles would bear the Conservative's logo. "The bottles were personalized and had her name and the Conservative logo," Louis Riel school board chairwoman Marilyn Seguire said yesterday. "It was clear it was an issue in terms of our own policy."
That is some serious bullsh*t. Bit dogmatic on the policy bit too.
You be damn sure that Miss High And Mighty Seguire and her band of better than thous are not going to be getting the Louis Riel students free water bottles on their own.
Take the damn bottles and be done with it.

Wrong. Put the name without the logo -- it's the difference between civics and politics. The school division was spot on. Glover was offside and should have known it.
