The Daily Orange makes my morning telling me that Jimmy Boeheim, the longtime coach of the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team became the eighth coach in college history to win 800 games.
The Orange's 75-43 thrashing of Albany put Jimmy B in the exclusive club. Just eight coaches in total - Bob Knight, Dean Smith, Adolph Rupp, Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Phelan, Jim Calhoun, Eddie Sutton and Jimmy Boeheim - hold the honour.
