Halifax RCMP Cpl. Joe Taplin says "To us, it's just a senseless act of vandalism right now that's caused quite a bit of damage from the sewer system all the way down to the Sackville River."
What "it" was/is is a vandal is reported by CBC News to have caused about 600 litres of pink furnace oil to be spilled out of an outdoor tank located behind a strip mall in Lower Sackville. The spill has been contained but it still raises some fears for damage to the salmon that chill in the river.
Although I believe the spill happened in Peter Stoffer's riding, Senator Michael Duffy is not, I repeat, not a person of interest at this time.
