Back in the day and the day was Thursday, September 17, 2009 in Post 874...$29,387 Tip I wrote about Notre Dame University, a local university in South Bend, Indiana known for their losing football team who over tipped Sarah Gaspar, a food service worker at the school. The South Bend Tribune reports that they overtipped her by more than 29 K.
Lawyers were notified, alerted, put on call and did what lawyers do: straightened things out.
Beautiful deal says the Associated Press. Over the next 28 years, that is until 2030and many years, Miss Gaspar will pay 50 bones a month to the home of the Fighting Irish. That works out to a repayment of 17,000.
She put up her 2002 Volkswagen Jetta as collateral.
Gotta love the Fighting Irish.
