1002...Canadian Commies Pissed Off

We have a new winner in the "Who Gives A F*&k Category"; Steven Mazey reports in this morning's Ottawa Citizen that Michel Figueroa, the national leader of the Communist Party of Canada is upset, so upset that he has done what all of us do when pissed off, he has written a letter [I bet he included his middle initial; that shows you are really, really, really angry] to Russell Mills, the head of the National Capital Commission.

What has got Mr. Figueroa's [or should I be calling the future dictator of all Canuckistan the Grand Puba or something?] panties in a knot is "...a proposed monument in Ottawa that will honour 'victims of totalitarian communism.' ...[he] is asking other 'left and progressive organizations' to urge the National Capital Commission to reverse its approval for the project, which Figueroa describes as 'defamatory.' "

Other left and progressive organizations?

Whew, Jack Layton switched sides just in time; back in September when you were a socialist you would have had to march, at least figuratively, with your brother on this one; now that you are an official lackey of the running dog Conservative Party, no need.

  1. I don't think the monument is that great an idea either, even though my family escaped from behind the iron curtain in the 1960's to get away from dictatorial communism.

Rather, my concerns are that this is the best move by the Harperbots to threaten our trade with China since Rob Anders wore a 'Free Tibet' t-shirt in front of a group of visiting Chinese diplomats.

Though I will admit there's not much communism left within the Chinese communist party anymore ...not since they let millionaires join the party.

As for Figueroa, he should go live in North Korea for a while and see how he likes real old-school communism.
