1536...Double Dipping At Langevin

The sole-source spending limit, that being a contract that is not bid for, of $25,000 was put in place by the Treasury Board.

I do believe it was done at the Tories behest coz of those nasty Liberals and their nefarious and partisan ways.

But every hole has a loop and the loop in this hole is simple. Double dip.

That is what the Stephen Harper's did when they double hired Ari Fleisher, the former press hack for President George W. Bush.

The Canadian Press reports that Mr. Fleisher "...was hired for a month last spring to help Stephen Harper get American media exposure in advance of a critical G20 summit in London. But a second communications contract with the PMO, worth the same $24,500 as the first, was paid out to Mr. Fleischer on Sept. 28."

He was hired to connect the Stephen Harpers with the people in the loop, in the know, inside the small circle of friends that walk the walk and talk the talk on the world stage.

"We got good value for money, in our opinion, for those services." That comes from Prime Minister's Office hack Andrew MacDougall. And he may very well be right.

The optics, on the other hand, well.

Why not $24,999 is really all I ask.
