Dave Stubbs asks what if, instead of Boston's Marc Savard getting gooned by Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke it had of been Sidney Crosby getting taken out with a dirty hit? What would the NHL do then?
"This wasn't an isolated incident: this season and last, Cooke has been suspended twice...for head shots..."
The NHL has went from being a league poised to be the sport of the 1980's to being behind NASCAR and Figure Skating outside its core markets and actions like Mr. Cooke's attribute to that greatly.
