The Daily Mail, a British newspaper of some repute, has a story about a lad that will be guest of the Queen for the next fourteen years.

Brian Lewis, a 31 year old London lad, knifed his longtime girlfriend to death after she changed her Facebook status from 'married' to 'single'.

Mother-of-four Hayley Jones, 26, was found stabbed to heaven by her young children just days after altering her status on Facebook.

She and Mr. Lewis had been together for thirteen years and regarded themselves as man and wife even though they never married.

Governor Palin says in the America she knows, people won't have to "stand in front of Obama's 'death panel" so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of healthcare."

You forgot to compare President Obama to Chancellor Hitler.

342...Hockey, Champagne And Burritos

I know, it is less than a week before St. Jean Baptiste Day, 30 degrees in the shade and then quickly comes Canada Day and the 4th of July followed by the Glorious 12th and I am writing about hockey.

An' I don't even like hockey.

But I am Canuckistanian and I do like burritos so, here goes.

From thecheapseats.ca comes a piece that states that "...Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma had a routine he followed...stopping by his local Qdoba Mexican Grill...for a BBQ pork burrito...Qdoba was smart enough to cash in on the craze to the tune of a 20 percent sales increase...a Facebook page was created...local news crews were covering the coach's ritual. There were even Twitter Tweet-ups, where fans would go watch Bylsma and his burrito in-person."

To keep the mojo going Qdoba had a burrito packed on ice and shipped to Detroit for Game 7.

Lord Stanley subsequently moved back to Pittsburgh.

195...Kids, Don't Smoke Dope In Class

From Russell Barth's Facebook via www.KIROTV.com comes this gem out of the Pacific Northwest.

A student presenting an essay supporting legalization of the evil weed Tuesday morning took out a marijuana joint, lit it, and began smoking it, police said.

For starters, smoking in class, dumb. Secondly, waking and baking, dumb squared.

This happened in Purdy, Washington and according to Pierce County sheriff's detective Ed Troyer, the student smoked the joint during his essay supporting the legalization of marijuana.
He then finished his essay, sat down, finished smoking the joint and then ate the end [my friends tell me it is called a "roach"] after it was fully smoked.

He just didn't eat all of the reefer's remains and after the teacher of the class contacted the school resources officer, a Pierce County sheriff's deputy, the deputy found a small residual amount of marijuana on the student.

The student, a 17-year-old junior with a 3.7 grade-point average, [presumably out of 100],was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana by Pierce County deputies and booked into Remann Hall in Tacoma.
