5178...Gary Johnson

Along with Jesse Ventura this man, the former GOP governor of New Mexico and current Libertarian candidate for Prez, is one of the most interesting politicians in the United States.

He did, btw, run for the nomination in 2012 for the Republicans but couldn't get it together and dropped out before the Iowa caucuses.  Nonetheless he could be a factor as a third party candidate increasing both the turnout and siphoning votes.  He is polling as high as 12 points in Walter White's home state which is none too shabby.

One of his more controversial stands, one that I have espoused for decades, is that the war on drugs is over and the drugs have one.  He came to that conclusion while governing New Mexico in the '90s and continues to this day.  He has ads he hopes to run, if, of course he can get the cash, adverts that The Atlantic says the candidate uses to call "...calls President Obama a hypocrite for continuing to prosecute pot smokers even though, as David Maraniss's recent biography revealed, Obama was a member of a high-school dope-smoking clique called the Choom Gang."
