4700...Yeah But There Are Still Free Refills

One of you sent me a piece from BBC Magazine that was upsetting for sure.

It opens like this:

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has proposed banning sales of large soft drinks. Does this herald the end of the popular, money-making bucket-sized cups of soda?

What, is Dalton McGuinty now the nanny of New York too?  Don't get me wrong I love our Premier but enough is enough.

Last word on this comes from Jeff Stier of the National Center for Public Policy Research who says that "The mayor's 'Nanny State' approach will do little to curb the problem and will do plenty to alienate the very people we need to work with - not against - the people who consume too many calories from a variety of sources."

Plus I drink diet Coke.  By the gallon but still diet.
