The 81 year old Quebec pol, a long time Member of Parliament who had a cup of coffee as a cabinet minister in Joe Clark's government, is reported by the Globe and Mail to have died in hospital weeks after an assault.
Cool fact: he was Minister of Science and was about to hire David Suzuki as his Deputy Minister when the government fell, never to rise again.
