1709...Regina, Saskatchewan, Has A New Slogan

And we have a new winner in the "Who Gives A Flying F*ck" category of the WFDS' blog.

Nonetheless I started this and I will finish it.

What is interesting about this story is that it comes not from CBC Saskatchewan but CBC Manitoba. Perhaps they don't get the CBC in Saskatchewan? Or is it that they just don't get the CBC in Saskatchewan?

I digress.

The old slogan for Pile of Bones was "I Love Regina".

Original it ain't, you may have heard of the "I Love New York" logo, which was designed by Milton Glaser back when Ronnie Lancaster played for the Roughriders, Alan Blakeney was Mayor of Saskatchewan and the Habs were winning Stanley Cups in bunches, but it has served Regina well since 2002.

The new slogan, "Regina — Infinite Horizons", was designed/thought up/whatever in Winnipeg, which, btw, is not in Saskatchewan.

I guess there are no creative houses in the Land of Living Skies.

By the way, I like my slogan, which was rejected, the best:

Regina: The City That Rhymes With Fun
