Patrick Johnson writes for ABC News out of Atlanta and he posits that the United States is on the verge of a rat explosion caused in a great part by the foreclosure crisis in the lower 48.
You probably know that Alberta has a rat patrol and that the province is [probably] the only rat free state or province or district or territory in NAFTA. On the other side of the coin New York City is number one in the States for rats; Atlanta is second.
Mr. Johnson writes that "Throughout civilized history, the rat has represented a mirror for urban existence, a gauge by which to judge the health, prosperity, and general welfare of cities."
Time to get a cat.

ReplyDeleteYou speak of Alberta supposedly being rat free then reference 2 U.S. cities. Couldn't you have referenced Canadian ones or other Provinces?
Also, I saw a newspaper article recently, sorry can't remember which paper, about rats being seen in some city in Alberta - think it was Calgary. So much for rat-free.
