249...Get Your Drink On Tonight

In Ottawa, that is.

Carleton Tavern, Parkdale and Armstrong, across from the Parkdale Market.

The Hintonburg Economic Development Committee is having a welcome home party for Cheryl Parrott, a true pillar of the Hintonburg community who was involved in a horrific car accident in Saskatchewan and has just made her return to her home in Ottawa. The party, which includes fried food and beaucoup de beer, will be this Thursday night starting at six at the Carleton Tavern.

I will be wearing my Pittsburgh Penguins sombrero, black, and, of course, will have my Sharpie with me.

244...Wednesday Morning, Six

93.1 CKCU, it is my voice coming out of your clock radio.

I will be joined by Yasir Naqvi, the MPP for Ottawa Centre who will let you know what is up in the riding that really is the hub of Eastern Ontario. Even if you don't live in the OC, if you live in Ottawa or Gatineau what goes down in the OC affects you.

Later in the hour I hope to be joined in studio by my good friend tic who always has something to say and is always, in my opinion, wrong. Of course, he thinks I am a [insert your favourite pejorative descriptive word here] so we be even.

Also Grafton Timothy Reid will be offering a review of Tyson, the documentary on the life of Mike Tyson, that opens at the Bytowne Theatre in Ottawa Wednesday.

Additionally Lorrie Marlow is going to be with me for a few minutes to let us know about the return of Cheryl Parrot, a true pillar of the Hintonburg community who was involved in a horrific car accident in Saskatchewan and has just made her return to her home in Ottawa. The Hintonburg Economic Development Committee is having a welcome home party for her this Thursday night at the Carleton Tavern, Armstrong and Parkdale, and Ms. Marlow will have deets for you.

Don't forget to set your alarm, six bells, 93.1.
