He was/is the greatest QB in Ohio State history.
He is also the most degenerate gambler in the history of history.
He was drafted by the Baltimore Colts back in the '80s and gambled away about a million dollars his rookie year.
Then things got ugly.
He bounced around: NFL, Arena Football, jail, Ottawa Roughriders, prison.
52 years old he should be heading to Canton, Ohio this summer for induction to the Hall of Fame.
Instead he is going to jail.
The Ottawa Citizen reports that Friday a judge in Columbus, Ohio, the site of his past glories, dropped him into the Ohio State Hall of Shame for 11 years.
He'll be about 60 when he gets out this time.
This will make a great movie when Artie is all through f'ing up.
