1410...Carolyn Parrish's Greatest Hits

Carolyn Parrish, the former Liberalesque Member from Mississauga, is in the Toronto
Sun this morning and, as is her wont, it is for doing something outrageous.

What Miz P did this time was have dinner at the Aielli Restaurant last Thursday before the
Andrea Boccelli concert at the Air Canada Centre. The dinner, with three friends, was
fueled by 129 dollars worth of red, red wine and may have caused the current Mississauga
councillor to do something she may regret.

To wit: she "...had a tropical storm of a temper tantrum...over a poster supporting Mayor
Hazel McCallion." She "...allegedly walked out and then back into the restaurant, ripped
down a pro-McCallion poster, shredded it and stomped the floor, before jumping into
a waiting limousine to go to the Andrea Bocelli concert at the Air Canada Centre."

Methinks she doesn't like the 88 year old 11 term mayor of Mississauga.

Here from the Toronto Sun are more of Miss Parrish's greatest hits:

SWEET CAROLYN PARRISH OUTBURSTS

The Mississauga councillor is no stranger to controversy - particularly
stemming from her antics both on the local, national and international stage:

"Damn Americans"

As a Liberal MP in Ottawa in 2003, Parrish was caught on videotape
when being asked about the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and blurted
out: "Damn Americans. I hate those bastards."

"Anti-American"

At an anti-missile defence rally in 2004, Parrish accused the
U.S. of building a "coalition of idiots" in support of its missile defence
program. That year she also criticized the re-election of "war-like"
President George W. Bush.

"Voodoo Doll"

Parrish further provoked outrage in 2004 by criticizing
the re-election of George W. Bush and stomping on a Bush doll during
a skit for the CBC show This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

"Das Boot"

Parrish finally got the boot from then-prime minister
Paul Martin's caucus in November 2004 after publicly criticizing
Martin, saying she "wouldn't shed a tear" if Martin and his government
were defeated and added he and his Grit advisers "can all go to hell."

"Rick Hillier"

In 2005, Parrish blasted Gen. Rick Hillier as "truly barbaric"
and called on the government to "muzzle the beast." Parrish was
offended by Hillier's suggestion that terrorists were "murderers
and scumbags" and that armed forces must be prepared to kill people.

"Mississauga bound"

Parrish leaves federal politics to run for Mississauga council,
winning a seat in November 2006 with an eye to succeed Hazel McCallion as mayor.

"Hurricane Carolyn?"

In August 2009, when McCallion announced she would seek a 12th
term in the 2011 municipal elections, Parrish said, "I would never
run against her. She is an icon and to do that would be disrespectful."

  1. Being a resident in Parrish's old riding, I miss her. I miss her lot. We have Tory right now. But attack a picture of THE MAYOR, shame Carolyn, shame. :0(
