1178...Hockey Players And H1N1

Hockey players jump the flu queue – and land on thin ice is the headline in this morning's Globe and Mail article written by the triumvirate of Josh Wingrove, Anna Mehler Paperny and Dawn Walton with a report from Caroline Alphonso and David Shoalts.

Writing about who is prioritized for the flu shots the trio opens their piece with "Pregnant women, young children, people with underlying health issues – and hockey players?...players are jumping the queue and getting the shot."

And you guys are surprised by this, how? Why? Like, hello, haven't y'all been paying attention? It may not be right but it is hockey and hockey rules in our country.

Look at your own article. To make certain you got facts right F I V E of you worked on an article of less than a thousand words.

Because it is hockey.

Hey, if I knew how to skate backwards and raise the puck I would be jumping to the front of the line too.

  1. If there was an acutal vaccine shortage,
the most at risk should definitely get the first ration.
    But that's not the case.

After reading, today, that more than half the vaccine is being held in storage by the provinces,
why not vaccinate groups that travel extensively.
Better that Canadians are vaccinated, than have vaccine in lock up in provincial health units.
