772...Want To Give Your Dog A Heart Attack?

You may do so for 39.99 USD which Sports Illustrated reports is the price on NFL.com for a jersey, that's Americanese for sweater, emblazoned with a team logo, name and number including an Iggles jersey with the name Vick as in Michael.

771...Wednesday Morning 93.1

You can wake up to me on 93.1CKCU.

Six sharp.

I will be joined by Emily O and, in theory, tic will join us to talk about Barnstorm10.

I say theory because Mr. tic is a very cranky man, a curmudgeon, and he often doesn't do what he says he is going to do.

I hope he shows because it is fun watching him get angrier and angrier.

If I disagree with him: pissed off.

If I agree with him: pissed off.

On the plus side tic has had a vasectomy so the line stops when he dies.

770...The Arctic Is Secure

The Canadian Press is running a story that says that, on the down low as it were, last month the Danish defense chief Admiral Tim Sloth Jorgensen got a tour of the Canadian Arctic, the Arctic that his tourmates Stephen Harper, he's the PM, and Peter McKay, he's Belinda Stronach's ex BF, are letting slip away.

But props to the Tories, having the Danes and their multi man army on our side says something.

I am not sure what it says but it says something.

769...More Fun In Framingham Mass

Norman Miller of the Framingham Daily News is now my favourite writer.

He has this nice piece where he reports that Amarildo Da Silva, who I always thought was such a nice boy, was arrested Thursday for offering a woman 20 dollars for sex. The woman, who, if you must know, was panhandling outside the CVS Pharmacy on Concord Street, was looking for the United States equivalent of a Toonie when Mr. Da Silva made his magnanimous offer.

Mr. Da Silva, of no fixed address, was released on his own recognizance and told to return to court mid October.

Good luck on that by the way. Good luck.

No, certainly not as "progressive" as Liberals striking, dragging and killing cyclists with their cars...

How high are you sir? Or ma'am. Or she male, transgendered person, or, or, or...

767...This Is Why I Don't Hide Meat In My Pants

Norman Miller in the MetroWest Daily News yesterday had a story that gives credence to my long held view that hiding meat in my pants is not a good idea.

Last Friday night in Framingham, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, the police were chasing an armed robbery suspect when their police dog's nose lost the plot when it was drawn to the scent of stolen raw meat stuffed in a homeless man's pants.

Bad luck for Edward Brown, a 48 year old who admitted that he had just lifted the meat from the Super Stop & Shop at about the same time a Shell was knocked over in the same neighbourhood.

Mr. Brown was charged; the armed robber was not caught.

766...Tip For Mayor O'Brien

The beloved mayor, er, Mayor, of Ottawa, Larry O'Brien once referred to the homeless as pigeons.

God bless him, so progressive is he.

The city fathers in Surrey, British Columbia, a suburb south of Vancouver have not referred to their street people as homeless but they have done something even more repulsive. The Surrey North Delta Leader ran a story last month that reported that their manure plan to control homeless people, an initiative initiated between city staff and the local detachment of the RCMP [who act as city cops in Surrey; a common way of policing in the West] has been controversial.

Deputy City Manager Dan Bottrill said he is still trying to determine exactly who came up with the idea of spreading smelly chicken manure around a Whalley social service building to drive away vagrants.

Beauty, eh?
