239...Nova Scotia, The Place To Be

Not only for exciting courtroom drama, courtesy Lisa Raitt and Jasmine MacDonnell, no, there is a wee election happening there this day, Tuesday the 9th of June, and it promises to be an important and historic one.

Even though New Democratic Leader Darrell Dexter would like you to believe that the election is too close to call fact is his party, which trailed Premier Rodney MacDonald by only one seat in the provincial house, is poised to kick some serious butt at the polls, looking to sweep not only their traditional power bases in the HRM [Halifax Regional Municipality] and in Cape Breton, but all through Canada's Ocean Playground. In fact I will goes as far as to guarantee you that come Wednesday morning when Darrell Dexter pulls himself out from underneath the covers he will be the first New Democratic Premier of Nova Scotia.

In fact the only question that remains is who is Paul MacEwan is hoping wins tonight?

238...Didn't...Learn From Nixon, Part Two

Well, on the plus side, at least Jasmine MacDonnell isn't a minger.

See and hear for yourself:

Frankly, if I had to do it all over again, I would take pretty over smart.

Richard Nixon that is.

Re: taping stuff.

Hello, Lisa Raitt.

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.

235...Toughest Job In The World, Canadian Version

A cut and paste job re the Lisa Raitt case via the Canadian Press.

OTTAWA - A Halifax newspaper will be in court today fighting an apparent attempt to block it from publishing details of a tape recording involving Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt. Details of the case - and the recording - are under wraps for the moment. But sources say Raitt's former press secretary is seeking an injunction to keep the tape from becoming public. They say the tape was left on accidentally after recording an interview with journalists, and captured private comments by Raitt. Sources say Jasmine MacDonnell, who resigned last week, left her tape recorder in a House of Commons washroom weeks ago. It eventually made its way into the hands of an Ottawa-based reporter for the Halifax Chronicle-Herald. (The Canadian Press)

Apparently Jasmine MacDonnell is super forgetful; first she leaves papers at CTV Ottawa and now this.

Could it be Ms. MacDonnell is a big fan of listening to Green Day CDs on a chronic basis?

206...Minister Raitt, CTV and Binder Number 8

As you may have heard, read, seen, Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt's office finally picked up binder number eight after it sat in CTV's Ottawa bureau for nearly a week.

Nearly a week.

Oh my God.

But, here is my question, and, perhaps it has been answered already, if so, inform me, but, why did it take almost a week to break the story?

How long was it before the crack CTV news team realized they had a prize in their midst?

These are merely questions I pose, merely questions.
