The Carleton University Students' Association Inc. (CUSA Inc.) is now accepting applications for theposition of Oliver’s Assistant Manager.. CUSA is a non-profit corporation representing undergraduate students at Carleton University. The Oliver’s Assistant Manager is a full-time position, unionized with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3011, whose primary duty is the day-to-day operation of Oliver’s Pub and Patio.


The Successful Applicant shall possess the following:

• Accept recognition, when Manager is not present, as person in charge of the operation and as

such realize that they can make decisions regarding business during that shift.

• Report to the Oliver’s Manager and/or Vice-President Finance

• Assist Oliver’s Manager in the supervision of staff

• Assist in the scheduling of staff

• Assist the Manager in receiving and maintaining stock and maintain relations with suppliers

• Assist in the preparations and planning of promotions

• Work flexible shifts

• Receive cash submissions from bar staff

• Assist in the preparation of daily deposits

• Maintain change supply for efficient operation

• An awareness and sensitivity to the following (but not limited to): sexism, racism, homophobia, and ableism

• Previous pub and restaurant experience an asset
