677...Pedophiles And Cops Talking Dirty

It is official now, writes Wired.com, the only people chatting dirty on line are pedophiles and cops pretending to be kids.

Last Thursday, a federal appeals court upheld both the conviction of an Indiana man and redefined the concept of being a loser. The man, James Daniel, is a bit of freak and into young girls in a deviant way. Mr. Daniel's online efforts to proposition underage girls in chat rooms led him to not one, not two, but three undercover cops, none of whom apparently knew about the others.

Strike one.

Strike two.

Strike three.

Which translates into 17 plus years of jail time for Mr. Daniels, time that I am sure will just fly by considering the esteem child molesters are held in by other prisoners. Then, when he gets out, life supervision. Life just keeps getting better and better.

By the way there’s no evidence in the record that he ever succeeded in talking with a real underage girl.

442...I Love These Feel Good Stories

Flipping through the Fort Wayne JournalGazette last week I came across this fun story.

Reverend Curtis White III, who is the Sunday morning host of the Gospel Train Unity Inspirational Hour on 102.9 The River, got hisself busted for selling crack cocaine to a copper in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He got got with a bit under half an ounce and is being held pending bail. And, when it comes to bail, Fort Wayne would make Stephen Harper's black heart happy, they are asking over 100 000 . 00 dollars for the Reverend White's release.

This arrest will, of course, end all illegal drug use and distribution in Fort Wayne, Indiana and, quite possibly, the world.

Or not.

226...Tyson, The Movie And Tyson, The Movie

Two films out this week with Mike Tyson, the former Heavyweight Champion of the World.

One is The Hangover which is being touted as the comedy of the summer. From the trailers and what not it looks like a check-your-brain-at-the-door-and-have-fun film.

The second one is a movie I had the pleasure to preview last week at the Bytowne Theatre, Rideau and King Edward, in Ottawa.

Tyson is a powerful visit with a man who was the greatest fighter to ever lace them on, becoming champion before he was legal to drink and then, then, let it all go away. Along with 400 million dollars, Mr. Tyson lost three years of his life to the Indiana Penal System, a marriage, a multitude of relationships yet has survived.

The film, which will be shown from the 10th of June 'til the 13th at the Bytowne, is at once at powerful, introspective and unapologetic view of what truly was a misappropriation of a man who had talents of a mythical proportion.

Whether you are a boxing fan or, like me, not, this film is a must see.
