2243...What Does Your Mom/Wife/Mother Of Your Kids Want

Sunday.

For Mother's Day.

Well, it is not a Stun gun, that is for shure.

New York News Today says that this is the dealy deal:

Contrary to popular belief, working mothers do not want gifts that conjure up work or home responsibilities on Mother’s Day, such as stylish laptop bags, nifty organizers, vacuums, or latest kitchen gadgets. Even the most well-meaning spouse can miss the chance to show mom how much she’s truly appreciated. This year, take the advice of other working moms and give her something that she’ll really enjoy.

So, what do working mothers REALLY want on Mother’s Day?

According to a recent Work It Mom survey, working moms want to spend the day at a spa (22.5%), have alone time (16.1%), get some sleep (15%), receive a spa gift certificate (28.6%), receive jewelry/clothes (14.7%) or read books and listen to cd’s (13.9%).

This was also the sentiment among San Francisco working moms who had this to say when asked what they really wanted for Mother’s Day:

”Breakfast in bed”

”Time to rest”

”Gift certificate to my favorite spa”

”Handmade gifts from the kids”

”Sleep and a great bottle of champagne”

”Time with family in the great outdoors”

”A clean house by my husband and kids”

”Relax in the comfort of my own home”

”Alone time followed by dinner prepared by my husband and kids”

”A day without tantrums”

”A handbag, jewelry, and shoes”

Now get your ass to the f'ing mall. N O W.
