Joseph Raymond Cox.
Of Warren, Michigan.
Mr. Cox is charged with second-degree child abuse, accused of using his 2-year-old child as a shield to protect himself from being shocked by a police Taser.
It all happened at his ex-wife's home Sunday. The Macomb Daily quotes police Capt. Dennis DeVooght as saying "Joseph wanted her to give him some pull-up diapers, and she didn't want to allow him in because he's been violent in the past." Mr. Cox took a tantrum and then took off.
When he returned his wife call the five oh and when he wouldn't comply with the demands of the police "...officers pulled out their Tasers -- a stun gun device -- and pointed them at the accused father. Cox grabbed the child -- the captain said police reports did not indicate the 2-year-old's gender -- and positioned the child between him and the officers."
Ah classic, using a baby as a shield.
You truly are Father Of The Year.
