No Stanley Cup; sh*tty cable and; cold f*cking winters but, on the plus side we out live them.
Them of course is the Americans and we are the Canucks. We can claim bragging rights on our neighbours to the south when it comes to life expectancy and health-related quality of life.
A new analysis of a joint Canada-US population health survey reported by Josh Pringle on CFRA finds Canadians on average enjoy an extra 2.7 years of perfect health compared to the US and live an extra 29 months.
Lead author David Freeny says rates of premature death are lower and quality of life measures are higher in Canada than the US.
Mr. Freeny says there are two potential explanations for the gap: access to health care is wider in Soviet Canuckistan and the prevalence of poverty is greater in America.
I think, and I am not a health professional, hell I have never even watched ER, another contributor is our crap cable: gives us more free time to exercise.
