Coz if you are you may go see America's Sweetheart, Sarah Palin. She is speaking at Carmen Hall in the Steel City tonight.
Money raised at the $200-a-plate dinner will go to Hamilton's Charity of Hope, a non-profit group benefiting Hamilton children in need that was founded about 10 years ago and features celebrity dinners, with speakers as diverse as Justin Trudeau and Canadian Idol alumnus Ryan Melpo.
For the Palin event the Toronto Star reports that some of the 900 guests paid $1,000 a ticket for the opportunity to have their picture taken with the star and receive an autographed copy of her book.
It is rumoured that the Governor is getting 100 K for the night, USD, about 99 K Canuckistanian, so the return on the money is a good one for the Charity of Hope.
Look for me, right up front, in my star spangled sombrero.

Interesting the kerfuffle that Coulter's visit sparked yet Sister Sarah goes under the radar.
ReplyDeleteI guess her 15 minutes are up.
Will she have time to write her speech on her palms?
ReplyDelete1. She will use a teleprompter like everyone else BUT where do you think Palm Pilot got its name from?
ReplyDelete2. No, re 15 minutes. Not even close. Ann Coulter is on the fringe of the mainstream; Governor Palin is the mainstream. She is one of the leading politicians in the most powerful nation in the world, albeit in opposition but still she is one of the few people in the world that call the POTUS and get thru. Miss Coulter doesn't even have the number.
