CFRA reports that Hundreds of Tasers were destroyed or retired by the RCMP after laboratory tests found some stun guns were not performing properly.
What brought this on?
An internal RCMP note shows 15 per cent of the older M26 model Tasers and one per cent of the newer models did not test within technical tolerances.
A briefing note for RCMP Commissioner William Elliott says the Tasers that did not meet tolerances “were destroyed and replaced by divisions.”
Elliott ordered all Tasers in the RCMP inventory to be tested last June.
Wonder who they tested them on.
