CFRA is reporting that the largest IKEA store in Canada will be built at the Pinecrest Mall.
IKEA has announced it is proceeding with plans to relocate and rebuild a new store over an 18 month period, with the opening scheduled for the fall of 2011.
Construction of the 398-thousand sq ft. new store will begin in May.
Other tenants in the Pinecrest Mall will be relocated as the new IKEA store is built on the East side of the mall.
IKEA says it will be looking to recruit an additional 125 coworkers to join the IKEA family when the new store opens.
