Fail a drug test.
That's what happened to a Toronto man on this day in 1988. His name is Ben Johnson. Mr. Johnson won the 100 metres at the Seoul Olympics only to have it stripped when he failed his pee test. The medal was then given to the world's second worst anthem singer, Carl Lewis.
Mr. Johnson instantly went from being a a Canadian hero to a Jamaican. Just like that.
