Two by elections today in Southern Ontariario.
One in Vaughn is an apparent gimme for the Dalton McGuintys. The other in Kitchener-Waterloo should be a gimme for the Tim Hudaks but, as is his wont, it won't. Elizabeth Witmer held the seat for the Conservatives for 22 years so one would think that it is a safe Tory seat. One would be wrong.
A Forum Research poll quoted in today's Toronto Star has the NDP candidate, Catherine Fife, at 42 per cent. That translates to no majority for Premier McGuinty and should translate to no job for Leader of the Official Opposition Tim Hudak.
