Carleton.ca reports that the Rt. Hon. Herb Gray, the longest continuously-serving Member of Parliament in Canadian history, was honoured by Dr. President Roseann O’Reilly Runte for his service as the Chancellor at Canada's 46th best university.
Mr. Gray "...was awarded by the Governor General in 2002 the title of 'Right Honourable' in recognition of his distinguished and record-setting contribution to Canadian political life. Mr. Gray served as a Minister under three prime ministers. He also served as Opposition House Leader and Leader of the Official Opposition."
He is also a huge, huge, h u g e rock pig. That is a compliment by the way. If you are fortunate to run into the great himself ask him what he is listening to. He is so on the edge which, I guess, is in part, due to the fact that he is a Motor City boy and the Motor City is the music capital of the world.
