He is the first Asian American to play in the NBA. Unrecruited out of high school he had to settle for playing at Harvard and then was undrafted. His rookie year was kind of a washout, he was with his hometown team the Golden State [Bay Area, Cali] Warriors.
This year he ended up as the 12th man for the New York Knickerbockers and even that was precarious. On his Facebook he wrote this:
Jeremy Lin
Everytime i try to get into Madison Square Garden, the security guards ask me if im a trainer LOL
That was on January 4th of this year.
In the last six games that has all changed.
Example thereof would be last night where in the last minute against the hometown Toronto Raptors he hit a 2 plus 1 and then a 3 to squeak out a victory for the Knicks.
As of now Mr. Lin is da man.
