The death penalty.
Those fools over at the Ottawa Sun nearly made me spill my breakfast this morning when I read their editorial in favour of bringing back the noose.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it would win a referendum but it is a stupid law that doesn't work. And even though the Sun seems to think that Paul Bernardo and Russell Williams would take the thirteen steps the reality is they are too pale and too affluent to take the drop.
Recent history shows that it is the poor and the tinted that get murdered by the state, often wrongly.
There are plenty of votes there though so I wouldn't be surprised if the Stephen Harper's bring back the noose.
