2216...Albertans Are Different Bordering On Weird

Just flipping my way through the Calgary Sun this am and I come across this piece about a big boned girl from south Alberta who got married in late April:

Sampson a Great Pyrenees, the K-9 played a special part in the wedding of Randy Senger and Michelle Payne , who were married on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Strathmore, Alberta. Michelle had no one to give her away, as her parents had passed on. Both decided that their dog Sampson would be the perfect choice.
