Federal Libs say Albertans disenchanted with PM Harper.
Hmmm.
Dave Mabell of the Lethbridge Herald writes that "Martha Hall Findlay said she believes Albertans respect human rights, diversity and personal choice, along with balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility _ all things she said the federal Liberals also support."
Yeah, well, no.
Wishful thinking but I think our beloved leader is safe at home.

Yeah, but it doesn't hurt to start making overtures, and to do that you start with the basics (i.e., there are voters there who could agree with us).
ReplyDeleteYou got to start somewhere.
You just can't cede entire regions of the country if you ever hope to gain votes there.
She believes that Albertans respect human rights? Thanks for enlightening us Martha...
ReplyDeleteAnd IF they're disenchanted with Harper or the Reform-a-Tories, they vote FURTHER right, not to the center. Sure, some Albertans may break from the flock, in parts of Edmonton... maybe even one riding in Calgary, but for the most part these would be the swing voters - ethnic minorities, working class folks, government employees, unionists (teachers, nurses, social workers, etc.)...
