In Saturday's Globe and Mail it is reported that "He's the top Toyota executive in North America but Yoshi Inaba is refusing a request by Canadian MPs to appear before them next week and face questions on his company's massive safety recall."
He did appear in front of the Yankee bigshots last month but no no to Canada.
MPs are going to talk to the car maker tomorrow, just not the big cheese so both Toyota Canada CEO Yoichi Tomihara and managing director Stephen Beatty will be able to play the "...we'll get back to you card..."
Here's an idea: show that you are tough Stephen Harper. Tell Toyota if you won't send the big boy to appear in front of our elected representatives you can take a break from selling your defective vehicles in our country. That will get him on the next Greyhound to Ottawa.
