Macleans, the magazine not the toothpaste, just dropped the news that Edmonton St. Albert MP Bret Rathgeber has ditched the Conservative Party and will sit as an independent. Mr. Rathgeber says that "My decision to resign from the CPC Caucus is because of the Government’s lack of commitment to transparency and open government."
The official Tory stance: they be pissed.
