I have been saying this for years but not as articulately as did Dag Soderburg, with two dots on top of the "o", in a Huffington Post piece I just read.
As Dag Söderburg, creator of the magazine Bible Illuminated and self-confessed atheist, told me a few years ago, "The Bible is much bigger than the power of the church -- it's connected to our history, and it's vital literature for us as human beings. Our laws, our morals, they all come from the Bible, whether you like it or not."
The me referred to by the bye is Andrew Losowsky.
