Wisconsin lawmakers pass bill to curb union rights
Tea Party Republicans are calling the passing of a law that curbs collective bargaining rights of public sector unions "...the biggest victory against American union power in 30 years." The law, which was rammed through by the GOP in Wisconsin, bans public sector unions from automatically levying membership dues. It is the first step to destroying unions in that state.
Mark Miller, Democrat, who is the senate minority leader, said that "In 30 minutes, 18 state senators undid 50 years of civil rights in Wisconsin. Their disrespect fro the people of Wisconsin and their rights is an outrage."
Coming to a Stephen Harper, er, Canada near you.
